Behailu Dereje, founder and sole owner of Erken, started the business in March 2015. With an education background in Marketing Management in Addis Ababa, he further expanded his studies in online courses of Marketing and Communication as well as Hospitality, plus Social Media and Content Management studies to fully apply his advanced knowledge in the sector. Regarding professional experience, with a background in Real Estate as a Marketing Manager, Strategy Developer and Implementation Controller in addition to Communication and Events Manager for the previous 5 years, he used his vast expertise regarding market research, sustaining good client and staff relationship plus personal networks and connections to be able to get in the market and compete with others. His international client connections have opened up many business doors for Erken Communications as we now have many clients from all over the world and for that reason Behailu travels to different countries specially Germany, Turkey and Russia but also to Japan, United Kingdom, UAE, Bangladesh, Israel, Denmark, Netherlands, France and most of Europe for different work meetings, events and market study & research purposes.
